Dr Jacques Lightfoot qualified as a dentist from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2000, where he won several best student awards and the prize for the most distinguished student of the year. He practiced as a dentist in the United Kingdom for eight years. During this time, he was attached to the department of orthodontics at a local hospital and provided treatment at a local conscious sedation referral practice. He continually develops his skills as a clinician and has a particular interest in orthodontics, oral implantology, and -surgery. Dr Lightfoot strives to treat each patient with care and respect to achieve results that fulfill their needs and expectations. He enjoys farming and spending time outdoors with his family.

He worked in the UK until 2004 and spent the following 16 years in private practice in Faerie Glen and Garsfontein before joining Intercare. Dr van der Merwe has a special interest in endodontics, but enjoys all fields of dentistry where he can contribute to the well-being of patients. He enjoys music, sport, camping and spending time with his family.

Dr Marike Bogenhofer

Dr Marike Bogenhofer obtained the BChD degree from the University of Pretoria in 2013 and furthered her studies in Interceptive Orthodontics (UWC) and Paediatric Dentistry (UP). She got awarded the SADA Leadership Medal and is part of the Golden Key Honorary Society. She has been a part-time lecturer at the School of Dentistry of Pretoria since 2016. She has a good sense of humour, is caring, gentle and patient, and finds great joy in educating patients as their treatment commences. She has an eye for detail and appreciates fine art and good craftsmanship. Children have a special place in her heart (having two boys of her own), and she believes a good exercise session makes the world a better place.

Dr Johannes Lourens

Dr Johannes Lourens grew up in Riversdale and graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2002. He proceeded to work at a referral dental clinic at 2 Military Hospital, Wynberg. There he was fortunate to work alongside specialists in all facets of dentistry gaining valuable experience. A highlight during this time was being the commissioned dentist on the SAS Tafelberg navy vessel on a diplomatic mission to the island states of Haïti and Jamaica. Dr Lourens also completed his post-grad diploma in Implantology from the University of Western Cape. In 2005 Johannes and his wife, Marilize, were both given the opportunity to work in the Netherlands. This enabled them to attend several international symposiums on modern dentistry while also working in their private practice in the beautiful student town of Groningen.
